Summary

Morris was born at Boort, Victoria, and educated nearby at Rochester Brigidine Convent, publishing poetry in the Bulletin while still at school. She later contributed numerous short stories to the Bulletin and other popular publications, with many exploring life and relationships in the bush and rural areas, some of which were collected in The Township (1947). Morris also published almost 200 poems, including those collected in White Magic (1929) and England and other Verses (1918). She wrote a novel for children, Us Five (1922), and two romance novels, Dark Tumult (1939) and The Wind on the Water (1938).
