Summary

C G Evans' Stories Told Around the Campfire (1881) is a collection of tales ostensibly drawn from notebooks given to the author by 'Daniel Digwell', an old friend from the Victorian goldfields. The book was published at Bendigo, where many of the stories are also set, but little information of Evans' life has so far been traced.
